I will assume that it is related with the OCR. You can see that problem along the 3rd chapter (i've not read the entire book but in this chapter it is very clear, and i think that the problem goes along the rest of book). And finally that is the problem: in some words that contains 'fi' it appears y for example instead of first or file one could read yrst and yle.
